GENERAL

General Questions About FSA

Who we are, what Dual Vocational Training means, and why FSA exists.

FSA has 14 seasoned trainers trained by international experts, plus six expatriates engaged by GIZ/Sequa working alongside them to ensure training is delivered to international standard.

Dual Vocational Training combines 80% practical training at the academy with 100% practical, on-the-job training at FOCI member companies. It is competency-based and emphasizes mastery of real skills.

FSA was registered in 2019 to tackle youth unemployment, the shortage of skilled artisans in construction, limited access to skills development for women, and the large number of unskilled construction graduates in Nigeria.

FSA operates under the Federation of Construction Industry (FOCI) and partners with GIZ and Sequa, the German Agency for International Cooperation, who support trainer development and curriculum design to global standards.

Wiring, installation and maintenance of electrical systems, delivered to professional safety standards.

FSA uses German-standard, competency-based curricula developed with GIZ and Sequa, combined with 80% practical training at the academy.

ENROLLMENT

Enrollment & Eligibility

CERTIFICATION

Certification & Outcomes

What you walk away with, and what it opens up once you’re NSQF Level 3 certified.

Trainees who complete the program earn an NSQF Level 3 certification, nationally recognised under the National Skills Qualification Framework developed by NBTE.

It gives you an up-to-date, nationally recognised qualification, confidence to operate at your job role level, and a foundation for career advancement or a career change.

Certified trainees step into Nigeria's construction workforce, supported by FSA's network of 50+ FOCI member companies for placement and on-the-job opportunities.
